How to Register to Bid for Online Auctions

At RealtyMarkets, we sell all types of real estate, equipment and investments through all different methods, including online auctions, live auctions and brokerage.

If we are conducting an online auction, or allowing online bids, then you need to:

  1. Register to bid on our our website (or app) and then
  2. Request access to the specific auction you want to bid on.

Note: We do not support Internet Explorer for our auction software, please use Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.


To create an account with RealtyMarkets:

1. Click on the auction listing. All of our listngs are available under the ALL LISTINGS Tab.

2. When you're in the listing, click on the burgundy "SIGN-IN" button.

 


3a. If you already have an account, enter your email and password and then register for a specific auction (see below for those instructions).  


3b. Otherwise, click on "Sign up" underneath "Dont have an account?"


4. A screen will appear titled "Create A Bidding Account".  Enter the requested information (make sure your password is at least 8 characters) and click "Continue"

5. Read the Terms of Use, check the box on the bottom and click on "SIGN UP"


Congratulations, now you have created an account with RealtyMarkets!
But, there is one more step before you can bid online. In order to bid on a specific auction, you have to register for that specific auction. Each auction has it's own set of terms and conditions so we require the extra step of having you request access to the auction. In some cases, you can register to bid without getting pre-approval from Auction Markets. That's often the case with equipment or personal property auctions. But with real estate auctions, you will need to request access to an auction and then RealtyMarkets will have to approve your request before you are given access to bid.  


To register for a specific auction, you need to:

1. Go to the auction you are interested in and click on the "REGISTER TO BID" button.  

  • Fill out the requested information.
  • It's very important that this information be accurate. If your information is not accurate, i.e. bogus phone number, etc..., we will revoke your bidding approval. 

2. Read the Terms and Conditions carefully. These are the rules and requirements for that specific auction. After you have read them, check the box next to "I agree with these Terms & Conditions" and click "SUBMIT". 

3. If no further approvals are required by RealtyMarkets, then you can bid.

  • You will also receive an email confirming your registration.
  • If the online auction has not started yet, you can submit a "PREBID" now and enter your bid.
  • When the online auction starts, your bid will be entered. 

4. If your registration requires approval by RealtyMarkets, we will automatically be notified of your request and will take action. Please allow one (1) business day to process pre-approval requests.

  • Facebook Marketing – We market all of our offerings on Facebook thru targeted posts so we can access likely buying prospects among the 1.79 billion Facebook users. 
  • Email Notices – Buyers that are signed up as a First to Know user receive emails notices when we add new listings to our website.
  • LoopNet – We are premium members of LoopNet, the largest commercial real estate listing service with 8 million registered members and 5 million unique monthly visitors. 
  • CoStar – We add all of our commercial listings to Showcase, the CoStar powered website. 
  • Realtor.com — All of our residential, commercial and land listings are added to Realtor.com, by far the largest real estate website, often topping 50 million unique users a month. 
  • Trulia and Zillow – All of our residential and land listings are added to Trulia and Zillow, reaching the millions of users these two real estate websites boast. 
  • MRIS – The local multiple listing services for the Mid-Atlantic region, we add all of our brokerage listings and non-foreclosure listings to this service.  
  • Instagram Marketing – We leverage the power of Instagram by adding our professional photographs so we can reach members of this 400 million person community. 
  • Lands of America – When we have a land property to sell, we leverage the power of Lands of America to access users looking for rural real estate. 
  • Twitter – When you need to reach a lot of people quickly, sending tweets can be an effective method that we utilize. 
  • C21NM.com – Since all of our agents are also Realtors with Century 21 New Millennium, we are able to add our listings to the newly redesigned website – C21NM.com – as well as the hundreds of other websites that link to Century 21.

Depending on the transaction, we will also list our properties and assets on other specific sites that apply to that vertical market.   Just let us know what you have to sell and we will develop a custom marketing budget.

While digital media marketing strategies can reach a large audience at a relatively low cost, there are still more marketing tactics that need to be used to reach the rest of the market.  While some may be considered old-fashion, they still are just as effective today as they were twenty years ago. 

Signage

You still need a sign on your property if you want to sell it.   It may be old school but some studies have shown that over 40% of all real estate buyers come from the sign.  

Direct Mail

Some buyers like to hide behind their websites and don’t answer the phone so you need to send them a letter to make them aware of what you are selling.  We do our best to research the most likely prospects, such as people that have owned or current own property like the property we are selling.  And if they are a high priority buyer target, we will even send them a notice via Priority Mail or FedEx.  Everybody will also open a Priority Mail or Fed Ex envelope!

Telemarketing

Especially with commercial properties and commercial assets, we will get on the phone and start making calls to prospective buyers.  Many times in commercial transactions, buyers are sellers and sellers are buyers so they want to know about your sales.  Instead of hoping they see our sales, we want to make sure they see our sales.
