This historic site was once owned by John Quincy Marr, the first Confederate Soldier killed in the Civil War. John Quincy Marr built the manor in 1855 for his mother, sisters and himself. Unfortunately, Mr. Marr would not enjoy his home for long. In 1861 at the Fairfax Courthouse, he became the first confederate officer to be killed in the Civil War. The next owner, Scott Nesbitt, bought the home in the 1890's. He raised his children there and saw his grandchildren raised there.

The property is beautifully appointed with bed and breakfast rooms, all with private baths, available for overnight guests.

The property consists of two tax parcels - 6983-69-5456-000 and 6983-69-7548-000 - both selling together.
