Katie Karbelk has travelled the country with her husband, Stephen (Founder & CEO), for the past six years learning the different aspects of the business with each transaction. Before that, she worked in the hospitality industry, and she owned and administered a successful travel website. The experience gave her a global view on real estate leading her to aquire her real estate license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Utilizing her Bachelor of Arts and her global experience, she brings a unique perspective to marketing all types of transactions. Ryan Rauner has over a decade of experience in commercial real estate brokerage. Over the course of his career, Mr. Rauner has represented clients across various industries and completed transactions in every asset class: office, flex, industrial, retail, and land. Originally specializing in tenant and buyer representation, Mr. Rauner expanded his service offerings to include landlord and seller representation upon joining RealtyMarkets. As a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Mr. Rauner further expanded his services to include investment real estate sales and acquisitions. The CCIM designation is conferred upon commercial real estate leaders that have a proven record of success in the field and have demonstrated mastery of financial, market, and investment analysis. CCIM designees have access to the industry's best technology platforms, allowing entrepreneurial and mid-sized businesses to compete with the largest multinational providers. In 2018, he was appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to the Board of Equalization of Real Estate Assessments (BOE), which has the especial duty and responsibility of determining whether the Department of Tax Administration (DTA) has equalized the assessments among property owners. This independent body has the power to increase, decrease, or keep the same assessment upon its review.

In 2015, Samantha graduated from Holland Hall College Preparatory School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The field of communications peaked her interest during her internship at the reknowned newspaper, the Tulsa World. Samantha is now in her Junior year at The University of Central Oklahoma as a Mass Communications major. She is excited to explore her studies in graphics, film, and writing. Samantha brings a young and creative insight to the marketing world and is excited to bring this new energy into the RealtyMarkets Marketing Team!
Experienced in all facets of sales, sales management, and executive management with major corporations Jim brings broad business experience to the team. Jim started his business career with shipping conglomerate Maersk-Sealand and rose through the ranks managing various facets of the shipping industry. Jim served on 10 Board of Directors through Maersk Inc. in the US and abroad. In 2007 Jim joined Realogy Corp. as a Regional VP of their Better Homes and Gardens brand and 2 years later joined Century 21 New Millennium as Branch Leader of their Alexandria office. Jim served on the Century 21 New Millennium management team for 9 years before joining Realty Markets. Jim’s broad business experience will contribute to the growth of the team.
Rob has enjoyed helping clients buy, sell, and lease property all across Northern Virginia for the past 18 years. He receives many repeat clients and referrals because of his attention to detail, enthusiasm, in-depth contract knowledge, and tech-savvy approach to sales. Rob started his real estate career in 2000, and has sold homes with the Century 21, Long & Foster, and RE/MAX brands. In 2013, Rob was named to the prestigious RE/MAX Hall of Fame. Rob joined RealtyMarkets specifically to take his career to the next level; adding commercial, land, retail, and auction sales to the portfolio he offers his clients.
Born at Dewitt Army Hospital in Fort Belvoir, Rob grew up in Woodbridge, VA with four sisters and two military parents, both Army officers. His passions in high school were playing trumpet in the marching band and earning Eagle Scout. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1991 with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, and began a career in technical sales, before becoming a full-time real estate agent in 2000.
His engineering background enables him to understand and break down complex issues into simple explanations, and his sales background drives him to find win-win solutions that serves his clients' best interests. Rob works with buyers, sellers, and investors throughout Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties. His clients appreciate his unique blend of optimism, patience, wisdom, and sense of humor.
Rob has two children in high school and, when he’s not selling real estate, can be found volunteering in their schools, in church, and in boy scouts. He looks forward to working with you!
